I was asked again today by my old A+P I teacher to *please* sign up for paid tutoring for A+P I and A+P II.
The reasons I am sorta hesitant are that *I'd* have to go back and review EVERYTHING before I felt I was prepared to tutor someone else in it. It's one thing that I understood it while I was learning it...but now this is a little time off and I feel a little rusty.
The school pays and desperately needs A+P tutors. I did have A's in both.
Is anyone else here a tutor? I'd feel rotten if I was asked a question and I wasn't able to answer it without looking it up. I just feel rusty and it's only been a semester! ( AP 1 was in spring and AP2 was summer!)
Can you relay your experiences? The extra $$$$ would be great but I'm just scared...I guess.

What an honor to be asked to do this, by your A&P prof no less!! Congrats!
We educators have to refer to the book every now and then. It is no shame. Just brush up on your basics. You will be tutoring and will have the book right there anyway. And, never be afraid of telling the student that you and he/she will look up something should you not know what the answer is.
Good luck and I say GO FOR IT!!!! :balloons:

I agree with siri. Also, once you start going through it again, a bunch of it will come back to you. :)

I too was asked to tutor this past quarter. What a great experience it was! The first thing we are told is that we are not to teach students "new" material, but rather enhance what they are currently working on. You will suprised at how much you have retained, plus it is a great review. I decided to tutor again next quarter. With the price of gas it will be convenient since I'll be on campus already. Good luck!

I tutored A&P I last semester, and work as lab assistant for A&P II so that is tutoring of sorts.
I really just looked over my chapter notes once before we got together than sort of reviewed together. Since I already had a handle on things I could go over it more throoughly than the books, and also offered mnemonics or whatever tools I had used to remember the information. It's an honor and a priveledge to be asked, congratulaions!
