Anyone going to the next step with Sharp NEW Grad Program Sept 2009

I know they said they the next step (interview) won't be till November, but I was wondering, has anyone gotten any response from them so far? Any email besides the acknowledgment after sending your application?

Also, for those who have recently gone through the process, what are your tips to GET THE JOB? .. or what were some of the questions asked during the interview?

any info will help. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

I graduated with my BSN last year. I only have BLS and planning to get my ACLS later. Presently i am working as a staff RN in a skilled nursing and rehab for more than 6 months already.

Oh, thank you so much for replying! :D That was really helpful.

I wonder if I have a chance... Hmm. I also graduated with my BSN last year, but I have BLS and ACLS certs already. I haven't worked as a RN yet, though, since I just passed 2 months ago (and I'm still looking for a job :\). Anyway, I hope I get a call before the end of the week, too. :(

Hi everyone. I just had a phone interview with Sharp Grossmont yesterday and they called me today to schedule an in-person interview for next week. I applied to Sharp Grossmont and Sharp Chula Vista and only Grossmont called me. The phone interview was pretty basic i.e., why do you want to be a nurse, what are your strengths, what do you want to work on, etc. I'll pray for you all still waiting that your phones start ringing ASAP.

:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:

Wow from talking to people around town Sharp has been really busy interviewing people.

For those of you that got calls did you get an email saying that your portfolio was being reviewed with that department manager? Any idea that you made the first cut!

Congrats. Best feeling in the world. Makes the entire process worth it. Its not over yet, get your A game on because its for real now.

Hi all. I have an interview next week. You can never really know what they are looking for, so I believe you just need to be honest and thoughtful in your application paperwork. I believe we will all get the positions were are meant to have.

Congratulations to those who have had interviews/received offers! For those who have not yet, hang in there!

CONGRATS To You !!!! :yeah: Chula Vista is a VERY GOOD hospital, I love it when they send me there (I am an SRN Nursing assistant).I recieved a "the nurse manager will call you before Nov. 30th " letter on Friday. I am listening for the phone to ring starting on Monday:uhoh3:. How was the interview, Honeybee? Was it scary.... nerve-racking? I applied for Grossmont's ED and Memorial's Cardiac PCU/Telemetry floor.

I had a telephone interview last week with Sharp CV ICU. I have not yet graduated (finish this friday) and am in an ADN program. I do have ACLS, PALS, and BLS. I did precept there and that was a huge factor. Me and 2 other classmates who precepted all at least got telephone interviews. Others who precepted there but who did not put that as their first choice did not get calls.

congrats to all who did. i applied there too but didn't get interviewed. i was hoping they would coz i was talking to one of the recruiters.. i also have a bsn..

it's getting harder and harder to find a job nowadays.. i've been applying since july.

is there anyone here that's a new graduate without experience that got the job in sharp? i just wanted to know what percentage of the RNs don't have prior experience....
