  1. They are offering positions but saying you must have your license prior to the start of the new grad program which for most units is going to be late January or early February. I have my panel interview at CV MICU on Moday the 30th.
  2. From what I have been told, don't know if it is true or not, if your last question is above the "passing line" then you passed right or wrong. If you time out then if any of your last 60 questions are below passing then you fail.
  3. I will be graduating from Kaplan on Friday. I am from the last class of the old quarter curriculum so I can't say much about the new curriculum. As far as instructors go, I think I had only 2 that were not MSN and one is no longer there. For the most part the instructors were pretty good. It really comes down to what you are looking for out of a program. I was looking to get into school and get done. I did what I set out to accomplish. As far as the rep of the schools go, again you as an individual stand on your own merits. One thing I can tell you for sure, from experience, a 3.5 GPA from Kaplan is far more impressive than the same from a CC. I don't know if it is true that some hospitals refuse to hire Kaplan Grads but I do know I have at least one and looking like 2 interviews lined up with major hospitals and I have not graduated or taken the NCLEX yet.
  4. I had a telephone interview last week with Sharp CV ICU. I have not yet graduated (finish this friday) and am in an ADN program. I do have ACLS, PALS, and BLS. I did precept there and that was a huge factor. Me and 2 other classmates who precepted all at least got telephone interviews. Others who precepted there but who did not put that as their first choice did not get calls.
