Anyone going to the next step with Sharp NEW Grad Program Sept 2009

no no, only mary birch and memorial from what ive heard... however someone in an earlier thread said they were called for an interview from CV...

There is a waiting list? Is that true? How would you get on that?

no there isn't a waiting list. what i said was that they have already applied earlier.. so that's probably why they have a headstart on the program.

Keep me posted if anyone hears that they have already called and interviewed for Chula Vista and/or Grossmont.

I'm not sure what they're looking for, but I graduated with my BSN in may '09, passed the NCLEX in june, and I have certs in ACLS/PALS/BLS. However, I'm sure that the questionnaire we filled out had a lot to do with who was selected for phone interviews...

Congrats! Phone interviews...that is weird! Why, I wonder. Will you have to pass that before they meet you in person? I have a similar background....I hope I get a call.

Hope you don't mind if I ask, but when did you graduate? Do you have any other certifications? Like BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, etc? And have you worked as a CNA or LVN before? I wonder which specific qualifications Sharp is looking for... Hmm. :stone

This is going to be the longest week ever having to wait for that phone call. I am really wanting to pester them to find out already!!! But, I won't I know they are really busy.

I graduated with my BSN last year. I only have BLS and planning to get my ACLS later. Presently i am working as a staff RN in a skilled nursing and rehab for more than 6 months already.

I wonder if I have a chance... Hmm. I also graduated with my BSN last year, but I have BLS and ACLS certs already. I haven't worked as a RN yet, though, since I just passed 2 months ago (and I'm still looking for a job :\). Anyway, I hope I get a call before the end of the week, too.
