Anyone from Florida?

I am from south miami, but I'm here in NC finishing up Rn school at the the local community college. I went to Lpn school while in south miami. Lord willing I'll be home after taking and passing state boards here in NC. The school of choice for the Rn-BSN will be Florida international University in Miami. I've heard great things about their nursing program.

Awesome, me too! I am nervous about getting in. I should have a 3.701 by the time I apply--do you think this is good enough? They should take me, damnit!

Also, I really hope when I do get in (:)) that I meet a lot of people I like. I'd really like some friendships to come out of this experience too--or at least some good study partners...we shall seeeee.

i think you have a great chance of getting in with that GPA. mine is a 3.68 right now. hopefully it will be higher the end of this semester. i think you will meet a ton of people, i have already in just the prereq classes, but alot of my friends have already decided to change their major from nursing!!! so i am going to have to meet some new nursing students. maybe we will end up having some classes together! good luck, let us all know when you get accepted!!

Thanks! I sure hope I get accepted. I stress too much about it.

Do you know if we can apply while we're still completing pre-req classes or do we have to wait until everything is completely finished and then apply?

i'm from orlando, and i've just put in applications to uf and ucf's accelerated bsn programs. i'm told i should have an answer sometime in march... and the days are dragging by! right now i'm at valencia cc finishing up my last two prereq's, intro to chemistry and intro to sociology.
