Hi everyone, I applied to the class 84 midwifery program at frontier. Has anyone else applied there recently? I have heard that admission decisions are made based on a points system and wondering if anyone knows much about how that works. Nervously waiting to hear an admission decision in the next month or so....
Also, everyone that I have seen posts from in the past have been accepted into the school. Has anyone ever been denied, or know someone who has. If so, were they given reasons as to why?

Yeah, me too! Thanks!
Keep me updating on if you hear anything from the school and I will do the same! Really hoping to hear something by the end of September, but we'll see. I have had my application in since May so it feels like I have been waiting forever!

I was looking at the website and they have a ADN to MSN option...but i don't understand is the MSN as a midwife or nurse practitioner or do you get to pick? I may think about this school for after i finish Excelsior if they will accept my degree from excelsior!
You get to pick.... I think! But from what I read it looks like NP. But call or email w/questions if you need too. They seem very nice in my emails I've gotten from them.

WOW! Since May? That's when I 1st started to look at attending this fall! I have always wanted to go to FSN & have had plans since prior to attending NS. The reason I went into nursing was to become a CNM. What about you??

I want to go to that school and be a CNM but it's so hard to get a job in OB nursing in my area!!!!! And I know you need experience before you can go there.
Ditto. It's had to find a job out here too. I got luck & came in thru "the backdoor". Hehhee. Actually a business card I gave out at a conference panned out when an LC was looking for her replacement! Sadly I get called off a lot. Hence, why I decided this would be a good time to apply.
Good luck!

Funny enough, I have never read any stories on here of an applicant not being accepted into Frontier or Graceland University. These are two schools I had interest in, but now thinking should I be worried at the alarming high acceptance rates?
they are a distance learning program maybe that is why?
