So, after years of s/s, predating my getting into ems, much less nursing, I have been offically diagnosed with ADOLAS.
Yes, the infamous "Attention Deficit Oh Look A Squirrel!". Oh well could be worse, could be raining....
Interestingly enough, it's treated with coffee. Go figure.
Anyone else afflicted?

I was diagnosed on my 26th birthday! Yea me! I was relieved to find out what was wrong with me. I have been taking adderall ever since and what a difference that makes! It doesn't make me completely better, I still sometimes......OMG it's sunny out, I'm gonnna goooo ride my bike now!

That video is me when I really, really need to study... but I'm hungry, and the kitchen counter is dirty, the dog needs to be let out, oh-it's-3:00-the-mail-is-here, I'm going to make some tea, the cat wants to be fed.... yadda, yadda, then it's 9:00 and I should really get to bed early! Yeah!

DID YOU SAY SQUIRREL???
Lol, yeah, I actually find nursing works well with ADD. The constant shifting priorities and new shiny things is just the way my brain likes to work. I feel more focused and in the zone with nursing than any other pursuit I've engaged in. I don't zone out like I do with just about everything else.
