I was sent home today from my work because my co-worker reported me to my boss that I hit one of my patient. I was very upset and I couldnt beleive that I was being accused of such a thing. Patient is very confused and disoriented so he is not going to able to tell the truth. I'm worried about more about my license then my job. I wrote my statement and submitted it to my boss. But are they going to beilieve me? ITs her word against hers. How do you guys react to such a allegation against you?

I'm very sorry to hear this, Ms.RN.
We really can't offer much in the way of advice, since this matter is beyond our scope and should be handled by a competent attorney with experience in handling abuse allegations against healthcare professionals.
Right now, the less said, the better---you don't want statements floating around that can damage your case if it ever were to reach the BON or a courtroom. Make notes for yourself and keep them in a private place at home, so that you can recount events later if needed; otherwise, PLEASE do not talk to anyone at work (or anywhere else) about this matter, or post comments about it on any social media.
Good luck to you.

1. Meticulously document what happened so you have notes to refer to when necessary
2. Get thee a lawyer
Best of luck in getting this sorted out.
