Acceptance to NVCC Fall 2011 Program!!!

Hey Guys,

For Northern Virginia Community College nursing programs!!! I know it's early but whenever we do find out whether or not we get accpeted everybody should post to this thread and their stats a.k.a. G.P.A., Teas Scores etc if you would like!!! I pray I get into traditional and everyone else does too lol! I look forward to seeing what happens!

I had a 2.9 the last time around. I had taken my first A&P course 8 years ago and I had gotten a C and I had one other course from back then that I had gotten a C in as well. When I wasn't accepted last year I decided to retake those courses and ended up with an A in each of them so that brought my GPA way up, along with taking more of the pre-requisites and co-requisites and doing well in those. My concern is that while I think I did OK on the TEAS maybe I didn't do as well as others, and also maybe there are people who have applied with previous degrees who have similar stats.

Everyone, think positive. This is my second time through the application/acceptance process and the first time around just motivated me to do better this time. I think that I will be a better nurse (whenever) because of it.

I can't thank you enough for your reply. I know that had to be so disheartening for you, but I just know you will be fine this year. Yes, I agree, let's think positive :) Thanks again!

Nope, nothing yet for me. I'm so anxious; I just want to know now!!

Nothing here either. Hang in there!

NOPE! I haven't seen anything on blackboard either....one thing though. Last year on that friday when it had been two weeks somebody called asking if they could give them an estimate when they were going to send the applications and they told her that day....do you think one of us should call?! lol :banghead:

Has anybody heard anything yet??? :uhoh3:

I know you are going crazy, I feel your anxiety that you had last year its RIDICULOUS!

I went back through last years posts and it was on the 9th that people started mentioning the link showing up on Blackboard. I wonder if they will be doing the same thing this year, I have been checking every few hours. I remember them sending letters out on a Friday last year because I got my letter on the Saturday after it had been 2 weeks.

No link here...7:36 a.m., June 8, 2011, but who's keeping track ;)

:lol2: No link here at 7:38, or the other 5 times I checked it since getting up at 7:00.

I really just want to know either way. Maybe today is the day.

:hdvwl: Okay, going to work now, but will keep checking!
