Acceptance e-mails?

Published

So I called Pasadena CC to check the status of my acceptance (trying to stay positive here) and they told me that they were sending out acceptance e-mails? This simply sounds retarded. What if the recipient doesn't have the contact info in their contacts, what if it goes to spam and it's accidentally deleted, then what is the person suppose to do. (Denials, by the way, are being send my regular mail, so now i'm looking to not recieve a letter.)

My real question is, has anyone who has applied to Pasadena CC received any sort of acceptance (e-mail or otherwise)

Am i the only one who thinks acceptance e-mails is odd?? This is my last hope for this spring semester :sniff:

I have had lots of trouble with my email messages not reaching me and vice versa. I never rely on emails for important messages. This might seem expedient, but it really is a poor method of communication. I would continue to contact them by other means. If they give you any grief, just tell them how unreliable email messaging is.

Is it to a student email at the college? If so, I don't think it's an issue. If they're sending to generic email addresses provided by the student, then yes, I can see the potential for problems.

I got my acceptance to Thomas Jefferson University thru email but she told me to expect a package in the mail anyway...

After speaking with someone at their offices, I was told that if I didn't receive an acceptance e-mail, that i would either receive a denial e-mail or letter in the mail. They don't seem to know whats what? But as of right now, not looking to good for me this time around.. bummer........ :o

also, it's would be sent to my personal e-mail.. not a school e-mail. They did'nt really seem like they knew what they were talking about. She said 600 people applied, and they onlt accept 60. "Lots of students come in with straight A's, 4.0+ GPS, etc..." :o

FSCJ sends out acceptance emails followed by a regular mail package.

Well as of right now. No e-mail and no letter/package in the mail. I'm leaning towards a no go but hoping for the best. Thanks everyone for your advice and info, I really appreciate it.

I received my acceptance email via my blackberry! My husband linked my email to my phone so I was probably one of the first to read the email...it saves trees:p
