You sure it's not a liver enzyme?

Or maybe At All Times?

Or maybe Any allowed treatment?

How about

AAT, Aachen Aphasia Test.

AAT, academic aptitude test.

AAT, alanine aminotransferase.

AAT, alkylating agent therapy.

AAT, alpha- 1-antitrypsin.

AAT, atrial triggered (pacemaker).

Or..........you need to go to the source Frap and ASK.

Abbreviations are no good unless they convey EXACTLY what is meant.

to a med/surg nurse Laxative of choice

to the resident who wrote the order......Low dose Oral contraceptive (home birth control pill) '

I am curious to know if Act As Tol. was correct?

How exactly was it used?

Specializes in Pediatric Rehabilitation.

we use it on diet orders.. Clears AAT= clears then advance as tolerated, or just plain AAT=advance as tolerated

Specializes in Med/Surg, ICU, Cardiac ICU.

That's why I clarified 'at my hospital'. Sure gets confusing:eek: Sorry, frap, we are just trying to be helpful.

I have seen it for advance as tolerated too.

Be sure to check the context and call for clarification if this doesn't help.

LOL! I was thinking about a pacemaker. Thinking AAI, or AAD, but I couldnt figure out what the "t" would stand for :) guess I was going in the wrong direction. Too many abbreviations :)
