dec grads, when r u taking the nclex?

Hi,

I graduated in December with a BSN and already received my authorization to test and scheduled my NCLEX!!!! I am completely beyond nervous and can't decide if it's better to just take it and get it over with in a few weeks or wait longer.

Most of my teachers have said to take it SOON. Is anyone else nervous?

I am very nervous and also received my ATT and scheduled my NCLEX for Feb. 15th. What are you doing to prepare?

Best of Luck to you, think positive!!! :)

Valentine's Day. Whee!

Good luck, everyone.

Give yourself some time to review. Don't put it off for too long, but if you are really devoting a good amount of time toward studying everyday, then you could give yourself a week or two. I took it exactly 3 weeks after finals and passed. I studied Kaplan and Saunders every day between then. Let me know if you want to hear some of the questions I got. I actually remember quite a few!

I graduated on December 20th. I haven't received my ATT yet, but I hope to take it early to mid February. My fellowship starts on 02/14/05, and we have 60 days to take and pass NCLEX.

I graduated in December from ADN program in Tx. I received ATT the week after Christmas then scheduled NCLEX on 1/05. The best part is I found out today that I passed. I would suggest taking it very soon. Good Luck to All!

My vote is sooner than later. Recent grads, post and tell us what jobs you are going to take once you pass. Always intersting to hear where new RNs end up.

I received my ATT on 01/04/05. I scheduled my NCLEX for 01/13/05 (first available.. have to drive 2 hours.)

I start on the Cardiac Unit on 01/16/05.

My last class was 12/6, pinning 12/7. Technically done with school (dead week, finals week even though we didn't have any) 12/17. STILL haven't rec'd ATT yet, although I called yesterday to check and should have it next week. Been studying fairly heavily since 12/8 (hey, a month!) and am ready to take this sucker and get it over with. Hopefully the testing center will have openings ASAP because I want to do it before I start work on 1/17. I'll be on the float pool, my top choice job - so excited!

No ATT yet. Start 1/17 in critical care fellowship. I wish it would come!!!

I graduated on Dec.17 and got my ATT on 1/6/05...i scheduled NCLEX for 2/3/05, but the way things are going, i think i might end up taking it at the end of january. I start working on 1/18/05 in a Bone Marrow Transplant unit. Good luck dec. grads!

If you are able, I would suggest that you go the day before and spend the night in a hotel. This way you won't have the additional stress of having to drive.

Good luck!

Kris
