Anyone selling their stethoscope!!

Hey everyone, I am back! How has everyone been out there! I am getting ready to start my first round of clinicals, in RN school, and I need a good stethoscope! I am totally broke, school is sucking me dry, and just wanted to know if anyone wanted to sell me a good one? You can either PM me or email me @ [email protected]. Thanks!-Tara:D :D :D

You can usually pick one up for less than $20. Buy a cheap one for now just to get you by. If someone on here had one to sell, by the time you paid for it and the shipping it would probably cost you the same amount as buying a cheap one.

I hope you can find one cheap... good luck in clinicals!!

I've never heard of anyone selling their stethoscope. Even if you quit nursing, you'd still want to listen to the old ticker someday, or some one else's or let the kids play with it.

Ditto what the above poster said. Buy the cheapest you can get. They get mislaid, lost and STOLEN. The more expensive it is, the more you can rest assured it will get ripped off ,,,PDQ.

I agree, I am a student and I have a prestige medical that was under $20.00 and an ultra scope that was about $100.00...I think I can hear better with the cheaper one. I have also borrowed a Littman and can't tell the difference...

I have to agree, they tend to grow legs and walk away. Get a cheapie for now, and wait for the investment later when you have a couple paychecks under your belt. A expensive stethescope for school wont increase your grade point average a bit.

I start clinicals tomorrow also! Have my uniform all pressed and laid out. *L*. I'm so excited.

good Luck to you all. I had a very good stethescope. Piad $75. I was smart enough to engrave my name on it. I found it around docotrs necks, other nurses etc. I finally left it at home and used the ones hanging at the nursing station

Lots of Luck and enjoy your clinical experiences

I bought a Clinical 1(it was $55) and it broke the first night I bought it...The ear pieces kept coming off and I lost them...So when I took it back the place knew that the stethoscope was known to do this....so I returned it and bought one for 18$ and it was better then the other one..it had a pediatric scope on it too..but if you want to buy a used one then check out EBAY.com...

I emailed you :) Jess

Hope you find a good cheap one, I have two cheaper ones that are light weight and a Littman Cardio III. Think I paid less than 20$ for the cheaper steths and they work just fine.
