What is failing at your school?

I was just wondering how you failed your program. In my program you can't make less than a 71 on 2 tests during the semester and you have to pass your comprehensive final or you fail the course. I was just curious how his compared to other schools. :)

There are several requirements to pass at my school.

You have to have a 75 average at the end of the semester.

You have to make 90 or better on your med calc test.

You must be satisfactory in clinical, only 2 areas can be unsatisfactory, and they can't be patient safety, professionalism, or med administration.

less than a 78 is failing.

at the end of the last three semesters, we take a test called hesi. it is different questions every time. the first 2 times you take it, you must score at least an 85%. the third semester, you must score at least a 90%.

in clinical, you must score at least a satisfactory in all areas.

you must score 100% on your med calc test every semester.

Hmm let's see...

You have to have a C or better in any nursing class to pass. A C is a 77. Clinicals and labs are S/U. If you get a U in either of those you fail the course.

We must make a 75 on EVERY test... there is one re-take if you fail the retake you are out... Can only come back to the program once..

Must make a 100 on the Exit Math exam every semester

Clinicals/Paperwork are Pass/Fail

Anything lower than 80% is failing (such as a 79.9%).

Anything less than a 78 average is failing, as well as not passing a clinical skill after 3 tries or not passing the med exam with a 90 or better. We have a HESI at the end of each semester, you have 2 chances to pass that exam or you cannot go on to the next semester.

We are graded on clinicals as pass or fail, we have 2 care plans per class and they are pass or fail. The tests are what I have a hard time with. you must get above 75 on 2 and 84 or better on one. B- is passing.

Must make at least a 74% for the semester and pass all clinicals in order to progress.

We must average a 76% © to pass our theory, clinicals are pass-fail.

To pass you must:

1.Make a 75 AVERAGE on all tests- but individual test grades below 75 are okay as long as your average is there.

2.Make a satisfactory in Clinical

3.Make a satisfactory in all skills lab check-offs

4.Pass the "ERI", a standardized exam, at the national average

5.Pass a dosage calculation exam at 100%

You have to maintain B's in all nursing classes and a 3.0 total average at Barry. Once you drop below a B you're outta here
