Have you considered an accelerated BSN (ABSN) program? Most require a BA or BS, which you have. These programs take an intensive 12-18 months as opposed to the traditional 2 years. I start my ABSN in 2 weeks, I'm in Texas, but I know there are plenty in California. It should be easy to research.

You will need pre-reqs, if you get on the ball you may be able to start this summer at a local CC. Good Luck!!! :nurse:

I want to emphasize the pre-reqs. Most accelerated programs have an extensive list of mandatory courses you need before you can enroll. My advice is to contact a few schools and get their pre-req lists. There will be some in common (anatomy and physiology, for example). Get going on those and you'll be making headway towards your BSN.

I needed 5 years of pre-reqs in night school (and I had a BS and an MA plus doctoral credits) before I was eligible for my 12 month accelerated program! It probably won't take you as long but start in on those pre-reqs as soon as you can.

i also know that there are schools out there that will do RN-BSN-MSN programs. where it will take you a little longer to get the BSN but at the same time you are working on your MSN. great program, going to do that shortly myself. worth a try to research it!
