Hi all. I'm a CNA and currently in my second month of an 18 month LPN program. I was expecting a vigorous and challenging program, but so far it as been the opposite. I realize we must start with the basics for those that have no prior health care experience and I try to lend a helping hand to and a pair of listening ears to those who have no prior experience and are frustrated but inside I feel very discontent. While I love basic care I'm ready to learn about assessments, care plans, meds, veni-punctures, etc. I've tried talking to my peers in the class who are CNAs and they just look at me as if I'm crazy, they seem quite content with the lack of challenge. Am I crazy? Will things start looking up?
