Hi guys, i'm a pre nursing student in southern California. I will be going through an ADN program at one of the local community colleges. All of the community colleges around here go by a point/lottery system and on the application, for 5 points, is health care/volunteer experience.
I currently work at a drug and alcohol rehab facility. My job consists of monitoring ambulatory detox/vital signs, drug testing and supervising patients on breaks/dinner time. Our program nurse said this would probably be considered health care work experience but what do you guys think? Could i consider this as health care experience on the nursing program application? Thanks guys!
