wondering

I just applied for the rn program. Does anyone know about how many applications usually get turned in. Right now I have 120 points. I'm really hoping to get accepted. I live in south Alabama

It depends on the school. The school that I applied to only has around 120 openings but that seems large for my state.

I'm in Alabama in an ADN program. We had over 140 applicants and 55 spots to fill. I know the University of Alabama receives over 250 applications and has only 109 spots to fill

There is no general "usual number" of applications. Varies greatly by school. One school may have a 75% acceptance rate, another may have a 10% acceptance rate. Has more to do with the number of available seats for enrollment than the number of applications they get for them.

Did you ask your advisor what your chances were, at the specific school in question?

Don't know what you mean by "points," either. Every college is different. If you call and ask to speak to the admissions counselors at a few of them you can find out what their acceptance rate is, what they like to see for a GPA, and what their NCLEX pass rate is. All data you'll want. But we can't tell you, because we aren't nursing program admissions counselors :)

Good luck!

My college also uses a points system. But each point system is unique to every school, so only your advisor would be able to answer that
