Will my stats get me into school?

Those are amazing stats! Definitely get that grad level class.. then get not only your car but also you’re cmc- I think you’re qualified for both bc you work with heart patients. Round up managers, doctors, supervisors, NPs, and colleagues who are willing to give you a great recommendation. Honestly, I don’t think it’s applying that you should be worried about. I feel that you’d get an interview right away. It’s prepping for the interview that you should do once you get it. Keep up the good work and good luck!

No. No one's stats get them into school. They *should* get you an interview though!! And that's what you need first. Then, do well in your interview, because that's what will get you into a program! Someone can have the best stats and not get in because they bomb the interview (no pressure ? ) , and someone can have marginal stats but do well in the interview and get in.

If you are worried about length of critical care experience, (although 2-3 yrs is usually an okay amount of time) you could take your cmc. It certainly won't hurt, but not sure it is really necessary.

Your overall GPA isn't a deal breaker. It's above the minimum for nearly all schools. There are plenty of schools that only count your last 60 or 100 credits for grades. Obviously you would rock that. Your GRE is GREAT. Don't waste any more time shadowing. Instead, take that time and apply to a few different schools.

GPA not a deal breaker but it will stand out as a little subpar I think. Some schools take the GRE (yours is pretty good) a little more serious than GPA, and look at science GPA in addition to total GPA. If you struggled in your science and math courses that may be an issue. Overall though I think you have a pretty decent chance of getting an interview. If your science and math courses really caused you some issue and you gave them a lot of effort, I would be careful. CRNA school is much tougher than most (me included) think, despite all the warnings. Know which schools lack student support and are more academically challenging if this is the case. Your GRE score shows good promise, you'll probably do fine.

The blogosphere is strong. I felt like I knew generally the reputation of the school and its dirty secrets just from posts on this forum and ones on the anesthesia sites. If you're local you can ask around. You can go on the boards and see the attrition rates and clinical case counts.
