Interruptions in the office can make you feel exhausted all the time, according to a new study published in the International Journal of Stress Management.
Considering our entire shift is interruption after interruption....

I thought it was because I was chubby and really out-of-shape. What a relief!

"I'm sorry, but I can pencil in your low pressure alarm for 2215"... Piece of cake.
That didn't even work in my last nurse manager/"office" job......in fact, interruptions were part of the reason I burned out and then basically flipped out. If people are beating on my door every 5 minutes or the phone won't stop ringing, I lose it. But now that I've learned to respect my own limits and maintain my practice at a low level of stress, I'm golden.:)

Because patients, visitors, doctors and consultants can actively suck the life out of your body due to them being from a planet where energy is obtained parasitically. Thats my theory and i have yet to see evidence to the contrary:blackalien:

I love reading articles like this lol lol Maybe people who write these types if articles should follow one of us around for a week. I love the go to bed at the same time every night, don't sleep in, don't eat after 7pm, etc. Nope, not geared towards nursing that is for sure!
Dear babies, we are in a strict schedule now. You may only desat for 15 minutes twice a day at the predetermined time. Okay lol
I'm sorry, but your explosive bowel movement isn't scheduled until 3:30 PM. You're gonna need to hold that sucker for a while longer.
