Why don't they call back?

I have called several places about working as an LVN and not ONE will call me back!!! What gives with people who don't return phone calls? I hate this in my personal life too btw. People that I call, text, never hear back from them!!!!

OP:

Why do you think you're entitled to a call back?

What sets you apart from other candidates?

Are these calls after sending an application, an interview, or some other point? It used to be common for employers to call or e-mail employees after an interview to say they'd hired someone else, but that doesn't happen much anymore. Calling too much (as determined by the employer) to follow up can be a strike against you.

The best strategy is to go through the application process and don't expect to hear back unless an employer wants to take the next step.

It's been 2 days and 14 posts and OP still won't respond to us. What gives with people who won't answer my post! I hate this.

She didn't actually say the calls were "cold calls" so I guess I assumed the best by ass-u-me-ing she called as a consequence of some prior indication the places she called were hiring.
