Everywhere I've been, pinning. It's the private ceremony for the school of nursing, usually a convocation. Graduation is with the entire school. Although some places have so many schools the convocations are scheduled both before and after the graduation ceremony on the same weekend.

Depends on the school. My degree is an A.A.S. so I will graduate on a Friday night with the others getting that degree and the certificate programs. Our pinning will be the next afternoon off campus at a local church. The graduation for all other degrees is on Saturday night. I go to a CC, so a University may be different.

Hooding with no pinning. Then again, I'm in a Master's Entry program.

At our school it is held on the same day. Graduation in the morning and then you return later for the pinning.
