I'm really interested in becoming a nurse, but i have no clue where to start. What should i start with? I plan on taking my time and i am not in any hurry to make it to RN or higher. What is the starting level of the career and how can it be obtained. I'm so confused

Hi! I recommend meeting with an academic counselor, or nursing adviser. They can give info on what classes are needed, and give you a recommended order in which to take them. I suggest taking Anatomy first. It's lots of memorizing, but lots of fun! Good luck!

There's no starting point.
in the field of nursing if you want to rank them from the bottom to the top of the food chain it will be as follows
CNA (certified registered nurse assistant)
Nursing school is very competitive because so many people want to be a nurse now, but then there is a shortage of nursing faculty.
You can take your prerequisites as it meets the requirements for the school you are trying to get into and try getting all A especially in the science courses as it will increase your chance of being accepted.
Most schools prefer students who are fulltime, in other words, students who can take very heavy load of classes and excel in them. So, I don't think it's to your advantage if you take it little by little. Study hard because nothing is impossible as long as you're interested and open to learn it. I would recommend that you go to a school you like and see their prequisites and how they best suite you.

I started from scratch in '03 and in Sept. will start the program. You should concentrate in getting high GPA because this is the ticket to being accepted in the program. A&P's are tough, but this should not scare you. It needs total commitment. I wish you the best.
