When to stop studying?? Pls help

I am taking my NCLEX Monday afternoon. I told myself I would stop studying tomorrow but I just cant seem to retain anything today. I did about 20 questions and stopped. I am just not into it and dont want to be burned out for the test! Also as I continue to study, I feel more panicked like I have to study everything all over or I dont know anything anymore or "opps I didnt study that let me look at it" and it is making me more overwhelmed! When did you stop studying for NCLEX RN? Would it be horrible if I stopped now?? I want to but I feel so guilty and feel like I will fail because of it for some reason... I am so afraid of failing and pray that it will just come to me as I am taking the test... any words of advise??

I didn't study the day before the exam! The week leading up to it I did about 65-100 questions a day. Trust yourself and go with your gut, you can do it!! :)

I did 100 questions a day for four weeks leading up to the nclex. The day before, I just relaxed.

I was feeling the same way as you two days before the test. I had a mild panic attack, and thought I should reschedule. I would say if you have been studying consistently with practice questions, you will do fine. To be honest, I would say 90% of the questions I got were NOT gone over in Nursing School or Kaplan. The NCLEX is designed to be a guessing game. To me, there is no amount of studying you can do to feel like you had a good experience at the end of the test. I cried at the end because I thought I failed. The main advice I'd like to offer, is do not stress out during the test like I did. Just take a deep breath, critically think, and eliminate answers. It's just a test, and if you don't pass..(only about 20% fail), so what? Doesn't mean you aren't going to be a great Nurse. It comforted me to know, if I had to take it a second time, the worst that could happen is that I would gain an even better knowledge base than I already have! ;) Oh and keep praying- God will help you!

I took the exam yesterday (2/14, got the good pop up so fingers crossed!) and I studied until 9pm the night before. I told myself I was gonna cut myself off around 5pm and just relax the rest of the night, but I just couldn't stop. I mainly went over drugs the whole day and I then did questions the rest of the night. I knew if I were just sitting around doing nothing that I wouldn't be able to relax so I just kept studying lol

Hey JLB1215! Just dropping by to wish you the best of luck tomorrow! Sending you some positive vibes and lots of prayers! :)

SO HAPPY FOR YOU JLB!!! :)

Were the questions just so unexpected or out of the ordinary? I'm hoping the Hurst and Kaplan combo would help me with this exam.

No! I dont think they were out of the ordinary but there were pharm meds and things I didnt know but I just did process of elimination and felt like I went with the best answer I could come up with. It was VERY similar to ATI questions.... I seriously took my time so much so that I would not have finished if the test kept me going. You will 110% pass!!!!

OH MAN! That sounds scary! I've done ATI because my school made us do it and I didn't really like it. And I'm really hoping I pass!!! I'm so excited and happy for you, like you have no idea!! Congrats again! You DID IT! :)
