When to start looking...?

Hello, all.

When in your experience is the prime time to look for positions for the next year?

Thanks!

Most camps start rehiring in Decemeber. By Feb/Mar they start looking to fill vacancies that returners aren't filling. Nurses are HIGH demand so be choosy! (about the situtation/environment. Salary is what it is but if you can swing it, worth the pennies)

Make sure you give yourself enough time to get a license if you need one in a different state. PA took so long to get approved!

Also, do lots of research on camps! Look for one that is ACA certified and ask tons of questions!

Thanks! I expect I'll be staying in my home state. I will definitely ask the questions, though.

Now that I found my partner in crime and the camp I love, this will be our 6th summer coming up, we tell the camp while we are there that we only want the first 2 weeks. Seniority is give to us... but my camp does start asking around Nov/Dec if we have anyone we can recommend
