When did the computer stop for your NCLEX Exam?

Published

Hi All,

I just took my NCLEX today in Oakland, CA. My test stopped at 95....and I am just worried like crazy!! I just don't know about my test..., I HOPE that I passed! The brochure at the test center said that where you stop does not indicate whether you passed or failed. I had a classmate that passed at 205 and another that failed at 205, then one that passed at 85. Just wondering if anybody would share their result with me and what number your test stopped at.

Thanks.

My test stopped at 85. I was a nervous wreck too. I passed. I know several people that passed at different places ... 205, 86, 105, 115. All passed. Good luck to you! Just try to keep yourself busy and not worry yourself to death over it (I know, easier said than done)!!

I just took my test this morning and I stopped at 85 questions. I'm scared to death and even though it's only been about 5 hours I can't help myself from checking the results website q15 minutes. Good luck to you!

I took NCLEX-PN in December of 2005. The computer stopped after I had answered the 85 question minimum, and I passed.

The brochure is right: there is no way to tell if you passed based on the number of questions. Though from threads that I've read here, stopping with the minimum number is usually a good sign, so hang in there and good luck!

How true is it that if the last question is a hard question, it means you passed and if it's an easy one, it means you failed?? Mine stopped at like 120 and as you may very well guessed, me last question was soooo easy even a 7 year old can answer it! So I think I failed but did the PearsonVue trick thing and it didn't let me pay so I don't know....

Mine stopped around 205-210. The question was super easy. I got the pop up at pearson vue.

I guess we'll wait and see!

mine stopped at 75 and i tried the pearson trick that was so true it didnt take me to CC page and i found today that i passed!!!

It's hard to determine if you have passed or failed by number of questions. If you continue on past 75, the computer is still giving you a chance. I knew I passed after 83 only because question 82 and question 83 I knew the answers to and was 150% sure. I didn't think it would cut me off on right answers unless it was sure that i passed. Although the whole ride home I doubted myself because I was in such shock wondering if I actually clicked on the right answer because it was all such a blur.

I am the same exact way. I have been like half asleep and remember questions that I had randomly and actually thinking of the right answer to it, and I can not remember for the life of me if I chose the right answer. I'm like, "I'm pretty sure I clicked it..but I don't knoww"

That's what I did. I got those last two questions and I was stoked. When it shut off, I called my mom "I passed". She asked me how I knew and I told her. Then I'm driving home and thought, crap, what if I was too excited and didn't click the right answers. I doubted myself. I guess I clicked on the right ones because I passed.

I'm so glad to read all these comments! Now I don't feel so alone. Mine stopped at 85 and I left feeling as if I got them all wrong because they were so hard that I had to keep looking away and then re-reading the questions. I swear they ALL had TWO right answers. I'm sure they really only had one right and one close to, but I hope I picked the right one because I wasn't sure on most of them. A lot select all, priority, and pharm. One math calculation(I know I got that one right)I wanted to go into the bathroom afterwards and cry.
