What does this mean?

Hi All,

I am on my second of 14 drug cards that I have to turn in on Saturday. Okay, I've encountered something I don't understand. What does this mean?

Monitor for and report S&S of CHF. I think S&S mean signs and symtoms... am I right? Also, what does CHF mean?

Yes s/s is signs and symptoms.

Signs And Symptoms Of Congestive Heart Failure

Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is right side pump failure. Basically, the heart can't pump enough blood out to the body to meet normal demands. S&S may include peripheral edema, diff breathing, SOB /c exertion (even walking from the couch to the fridge), fatigue and weakness among others.

On a side note, since school started last week, I seem to have much less time to surf the web. Hmmmm, I'm sure there's a nursing dx for this....

Altered net surfing pattern r/t nursing student syndrome as evidenced by dazed appearance, incoherent mumbling and overuse of acronyms and abbreviations.
