Hi. I am a Canadian RPN (registered practical nurse). That means I went to school for two years and was able to obtain a College Nursing Diploma.
After getting my license, I went over to Michigan and was able to obtain an RN license. This was without going to school, because apparently my RPN credentials/prerequisites were basically the same as a college RN program.
Lately, I have been looking at posts and they have been confusing the heck out of me.
Right now, I'm confused as what do I call myself? Am I a RN-ASN, ADN, or something else? And also, can I call myself a GN (graduate nurse), even though I have been to a school in the state of Michigan or otherwise?
An answer(s) would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
