What is your fall schedule?

I will be in LPN class from 3:30 - 9:30 Monday - Thursday and then working at St. John's (just got hired yesterday!) Fri - Sun 6:30a - 7p. No time for a social life! I have decided not to take micro online like I originally wanted to because of the new job.

Dottimur...you will have about 80 hours of community service that has to be done for TTC, and they like it at things like the Daycenter.

I'm at UCO. My schedual doesn't seem too bad. I am taking Med/Surg, Psych, Concepts, and Physical Assessment. We have classes on Mon, Tues, and Fri (most days out by noon, except fridays we go till 1pm). And then we have 12 hours of clinical this first semester.....one 8 hour shift and one 4 hour shift (or maybe just one 12 hour shift). We find out our clinical schedual next week.

I'm not working this semester, but will be working very part time next semester (2-12hr shifts a month). I also have 2 young girls and my husband also is a student and works full time.

I'm attending the LPN program at Metro Tech in OKC from 7:40 to 2:15pm M-F and I will be working retail on weekends, because I need the insurance. Hopefully, I will be able to do some CNA work next semester.

Those are kind of weird hours. I wonder why they have them like that? I like my PN program, as I'm sure you will. I'll be starting a CNA job at the hospital soon, which I hope will help me feel more comfortable with direct patient care. I hadn't planned to do that originally, but one night I looked around my classroom and realized that all the other students were already working in healthcare! Goodluck with it! When do you start? We're back in class starting Aug 16th.

Metro Tech works along with the OKC public school district, that's why the hours are like that. It's a 12 month program that starts August 15.

Oh, that makes sense. Tulsa Tech works with the public schools as well, but I think the adult programs have different hours. Not really sure about that though since I'm in night program. I know they're a lot more strict about things like parking, dress code, etc on the day program than they are the night because of the high schoolers there.

Mine is kinda convoluted:

Sunday work from 11PM-7AM Monday Morning, then grab a 2 hour nap, then Nursing class from 12:30-2:20, then study in the library, then Principles of Micro (Pre-Med class) from 5:50-9:00. No work Mon/Tue night d/t clinicals at Deaconess from 6:30-2:30 T/W, and Wed is the Micro class again, and work. Thursday is Nursing class/lab (12:30-4:30), then Work, F/Sa/Su is work and studying. Repeat as necessary......

I am pursing either the acclerated BSN program or the Alternate Entry MSN Program for non-nursing majors....deadlines are this upcoming December

I have a degree in engineering so I work 40-50 hours per week. My full-time schedule is mainly online courses, I have:

A & P I (in class)

Microbiology (in class)

Nutrition (online)

Intro Psychology (online)

Intro Sociology (online)

I still have another semester to go to complete the pre-req's for the schools I'm interested in

but please wish me luck you guys; i've been out of schol for a year so i'm not that nervous but my job is demanding however I need a career change in nursing and i guess i won't have a life till december :) Wish you all luck especially those with a kid, job, and school i know that's really tough but pray and be positive and the Lord will help you along the way :)

I wish everybody luck. I am always so amazed the dedication and hard work people endure to pursue a career in nursing.
