  1. I am pursing either the acclerated BSN program or the Alternate Entry MSN Program for non-nursing majors....deadlines are this upcoming December I have a degree in engineering so I work 40-50 hours per week. My full-time schedule is mainly online courses, I have: A & P I (in class) Microbiology (in class) Nutrition (online) Intro Psychology (online) Intro Sociology (online) I still have another semester to go to complete the pre-req's for the schools I'm interested in but please wish me luck you guys; i've been out of schol for a year so i'm not that nervous but my job is demanding however I need a career change in nursing and i guess i won't have a life till december :) Wish you all luck especially those with a kid, job, and school i know that's really tough but pray and be positive and the Lord will help you along the way :)
  2. I think you should volunteer as well. I'm going to apply not only to the accelerated MSN program offered at UT and Columbia, but I'm also applying to the accelerated BSN program at Emory, UCF, UT-Houston, Rochester. Its good that you know what program you want to do, with me I'm unsure so that's why I'm going the BSN route because its only a year and I can work get some experience and exposure then decide. But goodluck with everything
  3. Also check and make sure you don't have to take the NET exam (nursing entrance test). This covers basic math, reading, writing, etc.
  4. has anyone participated / completed / or know someone that has been in the alternate entry msn program???? its a program targeted for people who has a 4 year college degree in a non-nursing major in which the student will obtain its rn licensure as well as a master's in nursing. i'm really thinking about applying to this program and i would like to discuss pros and cons with those who are familiar with the program. thanks!
