Hello. I'm 22 years old, I graduated around December 10th with my BSN in Nursing. I took the NCLEX February 15th, and I just found out I failed. I went to Continental Testing and it showed me "Fail" under my grade. I don't know what to do now that I failed the first time. I took 84-ish questions before it shut off. I felt pretty good about it. But honestly, I don't know what to do now. What do I do now that I failed NCLEX? I know I have to wait 45 days. But when can I register again? What are the steps. What do I do? I feel so lost. I can't stop crying, haha. Please, any comments or help, I would severely appreciate.
Thank you.

Before you think of registering again, you need to make sure you are ready. You should receive a candidate performance report that will tell you what areas were above passing, near passing, and below passing. Those areas below passing should be where you spend most of your review time. Those near passing should receive an in-depth review, but likely less than those areas below passing. Above passing areas should still be reviewed, but obviously less time spent here.
Thank you for the message. I assume I receive that in the mail, or do I have to contact someone to receive something like that? And after I receive what I do receive in the mail, do I have to do something specific aside from pay Pearson Vue again? I will definitely be looking at the areas again, I'm going to try and find and pay for more study materials for this exam. I do not want to fail it again. Do you know if I need to pay Continental Testing over again as well? I'm sorry for the questions. I'm so scattered right now.

The BON will send the report and if required paperwork to re apply. Some states charge and some do not.
I should just wait for it to come in the mail, right? I assume it takes weeks for that?
Yes usually comes in the mail and I don't think it takes too long
Should I wait for that before reapplying on Pearson and paying the fee again? Last time, it took a month to get my ATT number. And another month for a date. That's the only reason why I wanna register and get it again ASAP.

You can register now and pay your fee. Your ATT will be activated in 45 days. Since you tested Feb 15, you should be about to test Around April 1, once you get ATT pearson will show you dates starting from April 1.
Continue to study where you left off, I heard great things about Uworld
Good luck , 45 days will come faster than you think.

Thank you! I have to wait until I get my official results in the mail about failing and what I got below average in, and then I can reapply and pay everything again I think!
Thank you for the reply.

Sorry to hear that. Try to stay positive, keep your head up, and move past it. Focus on the future and your studies for when you do take it again. It's all about positive self-talk...!
What did you do to study for the NCLEX the first time? Like someone else commented prior, I also recommend UWorld...but I just wanted to get an idea of how your studying went the first time around.

I think you should do absolutely nothing until you calm down and are able to focus. Re-registering for the NCLEX is no different from registering for the first time. Some states, if not all, require a repeat of the criminal background check as well. By the tone of your posts, you definitely need to step back and take a breather before you make a move to do anything. I know you're disappointed...been there, done that at my very first attempt it years ago. If you go rushing full-speed as soon as you get the green light, the quality of your preparation is going to suffer and you'll be failing your second attempt. The worst is over. Take a couple of weeks, at least, to get over it before beginning again.
Good luck on your next and hopefully, final attempt.

Thank you for your kind works. Positive self-talk is something I definitely need to work on, too.
I used a Kaplan book my friend gave me, and then I used my friend's Uworld account. I did about 50-70 questions every other day. But maybe I just wasn't doing enough questions everyday and not studying enough. That's all I did, though.
