3-4 week wait for ATT?

So I've FINALLY gotten the email from the state board of nursing that all of my documentation checks out and they will be sending their verification to Pearson for my ATT. However, I got the email this morning and just tried to contact Pearson to find out the status of my ATT and the representative stated it would be another 3-4 weeks???

I was under the impression that once the state BON sent approval, they would issue the ATT right away?

Is it because I just paid the $200 to register for the test today?? Was I supposed to pay it 4 weeks ago? I'm so confused now and a little upset to boot.

Just a guess but it could be because a lot of students graduate this time of year and it may take longer to issue the ATT.

I paid for my stuff the day of my graduation and had my temp license and ATT within 12 days.

I'm thinking the person on the other line thought I had just applied for my nursing license. I'm almost positive it will arrive once Pearson receives my state BON verification.

It may be different in your state, but here they state BON issues the ATT once approved. The ATT is a non-descript number issued that you have to enter when registering to take your exam. I had paid for the exam before I graduated and just waited for the ATT so I could schedule the exam date and time.

Something doesn't sound correct. You may have gotten someone that didn't understand what you are asking. Call your BON and ask when the ATT will be released.

Thanks Rob4546, I spoke with them this morning and they ensured me that they've sent the request to Pearson and I should contact them if I haven't received my ATT within 5 days.

This is normal for Florida. I think it took me about 4 weeks. They FL BON has to process everything before sending everything to Pearson.
