Wedding

I’m getting married in a few months. Anyone ever get a monitoring interruption for a one day special occasion from IPN? I’d hate to miss my own hair appointment because I got selected for a hair test that day.... you just never know! And last time I got picked for a 200 dollar hair test it took two hours!!! Just curious if I should even bother asking....

Do you have any way of letting them know? Maybe they could work around your wedding. It’s worth at least asking

I don’t know if it’s even worth it to ask.

If it was my wedding. Yeah. That would be worth it to ask.

Hey they give exemptions for traveling out of the testing area. It seems to me that a wedding is a bigger deal than a trip to the islands. I’d ask anyway. Good luck and congratulations

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, and yes, ask away! Let them know it is your wedding day. Be prepared for a "random" test shortly after the day, but, I would hope your case manager will see the importance of this day for you!

I once got a two week exemption from my contract when I was traveling but I asked several months in advance and it had to go to the committee + I was 100% compliant so that may have helped.

Congrats svetlana!!! I guess I was just confused. Because OF COURSE it’s worth it to ask. I was told specifically in my program to keep in touch if I had any going on. Such as a vacation, surgery, etc. they never messed with the dates around them. I know it can feel defeating. I hope you will be surprised! Hang in there!

Yaaaas! Get that ring girl

Thanks everyone! I guess I am apprehensive because the wedding is happening literally two blocks from my apartment. So I won’t be traveling at all but it’s an afternoon wedding so I want to have time for hair makeup photos and all that good stuff. I will ask and I will let you all know what they say, just in case others are in a similar situation. ❤️

The only thing they need to know is that it is YOUR WEDDING DAY, and you want the day off from all the check ins, etc.

Now, go on girl (my assumption here), and get yourself married! Congratulations!

?

I really hope you keep us updated and you let the BON know. I love how the community in here rallied around you. This is a big deal. and it can be depressing as hell to be in a monitoring program. Don’t let that get you down!
