WCJC Spring 2021

Hello,

I want to apply for Spring 2021, but I'm scared that I will get denied due to having a 2.8 Prerequisite GPA. I do have all classes done for a BSN degree except for Chem and Government. I know some schools have slots for veterans, but IDK if WCJC does. Has anyone been accepted that had a low GPA?

I was also looking to apply for Spring 2021. But I have to wait til 2022. I have all my ADN pre req's except micro which I am taking now, and most of my BSN as well. I plan to quit my job if I get into the program. I haven't taken the TEAS yet, but plan to early next year.  It's so hard to find info on the program and how it is.

Also, does anyone know if there's a pre nursing fb group for wcjc or a shared nursing/pre-nursing group? I can't find anything on fb when I search so I'm guessing they're all marked private.

is the 2.8 pre-requisite GPA or overall GPA? My pre-requisite GPA was 3.8 but my TEAS was low lmao, don't be scared, if you get denied get up and try again until you do get in. Failure is NOT an option!

Science GPA- 3.81

TEAS:

Math-100%

Reading- 83%

Science- 80.9%

The program is A LOT of work and discipline. You truly get what you put in but if you recently took AP then it helps a lot too. First semester seems to be the hardest because it is so much and you are trying to learn how to study and what the test will be like.

HEY! How was your semester? Do you know how the point system works? Did you like the school?

My score in math was 93% and my science and reading scores were mid 70s on my TEAS exam. My overall program GPA is 3.66 and I have completed all but two of my prerequisites for my BSN. I really hope I get into the program even though my science and reading scores on my TEAS are in the 70s.

Just received an email that I got accepted in the program.. have no words how I feel..I was desperately wanted to start nursing

When did you receive the email? Today? What time? What did it say? I'm so nervous. I haven't gotten anything yet. ?

Received the mail at 1:51. It says that you are accepted as the candidate for ADN program sugarland for Spring 2021. You have to respond your preliminary acceptance by Oct 9.

I think they just start sending mails so you should be heard soon.. best of luck!!

Hi! Ever since Covid it has been crazy and overwhelming at times, but I have been making it. The 16 week courses have been condensed into 8 weeks and it can be so much to do and hardly any time to do it in. By the grace of God and my hard work I am still here....making it! Level 1 is FOR SURE one of the harder semesters because you are still new and trying to learn how to study and just overloaded with info..but don't give up...it gets SOOOO much better. There is still a lot of work and you feel like you know nothing but you will. Keep pushing everyone! Best wishes!
