WCJC Spring 2021

Hello,

I want to apply for Spring 2021, but I'm scared that I will get denied due to having a 2.8 Prerequisite GPA. I do have all classes done for a BSN degree except for Chem and Government. I know some schools have slots for veterans, but IDK if WCJC does. Has anyone been accepted that had a low GPA?

Hello everyone and congratulations on your acceptance! I’m excited to start the program with you all! Anyway, I know of a couple of people who are still waiting on their blue cards, is anyone else still waiting? I feel bad for our cohorts that have not received theirs yet.

Hi Adover77!

Were you ever taken off the alternate list? I’ve applied for Fall 2021 and also retook a class. Did you have all of your BSN courses finished? Also what were your total points? I can’t seem to find how many points are considered competitive.

Hi. I hope you are doing well in the program. From looking at your stats, we are almost identical. I am applying for Spring 2022. I just wanted to ask if you recall your exact GPA when you applied?

Hi, were you offered a spot after being on the alternate list?

KizzieKae I was an alternate for the Fall start and did not get it. Now I am an alternate for the Spring 2022. I'm hoping my status changes. Did you apply? Are you an alternate?

When does the Fall start? I hear people can still get accepted up to the week of. What are your stats if you don't mind me asking? Did you attend orientation and had your background checked while waiting?

Yes. I am also an alternate for Spring 2022. I am really praying we all will get accepted.

The fall starts on Monday August 30th. And yes they can get accepted up until the week of if someone drops on the 1st day. I don't remember my stats anymore. I know I passed the TEAS with really good scores, high enough to meet maximum points on the grading system. And my Program GPA is 3.54 I originally applied last Spring and got denied. Then I reapplied for fall and was an alternate and now I am applying again for Spring and once again I am an alternate. I did attend orientation and I did my background check and got my blue card. So now I'm just praying I get in. I'm actually retaking Microbiology this semester.

Positive vibe we will receive good news soon. I’ve only come across alternate for Spring 2022 so far. I wonder had anyone been accepted yet. They’re a little early with notifying this term. I just want a seat already! Keep me posted. Good luck to us!

By the way do you know how many alternates there are per cycle?

Yes actually they did let us know sooner this time around. I was actually really surprised to hear back so soon. There are 30 spots and 10 alternates every year.
