Wake Tech Fall 2017 start

Hi all! Just wondering who will be applying to the Wake Tech RN program in January, for the Fall 2017 start? I'm finishing up BIO168, BIO175, PSY241 and SOC210 this semester. If I can maintain all As, and get 12 points on my ATI TEAS, I'll have 161 points. Based on the last two classes' initial acceptance ranges, I feel like I'll be an alternate. :dead:

I think applications just ended on the 31st, so they may not even have a count yet. I heard it might be mid-March before we hear anything. I hope we get something before them, though.

Yep I heard the same thing she told me she was hoping to have letters out by the end of march.

Hey everyone! I also applied on Monday after taking my TEAS and scoring an 85 landing me in the +12pts range. Really wanted the extra 20 to end my points with 170 but what are ya gonna do:x3: I applied with 162 total points so just praying that'll be enough to get me in! What do you guys think my chances are? So nervous. Good luck everyone!!!

Junebuggy68 I would think you have a very good chance with that number of points. Mid-March seems like a long time to wait. Oh well, we'll have to wait anyway. Lol.

NUCUnurse thank you so much for saying that. Makes me feel a little better at least lol. And yes it is hard playing the waiting game, especially when we're all so eager to begin our journeys to becoming nurses! Hopefully come mid-March there will be lots to celebrate and look forward to:nurse:

I'm in the same boat with 12 points from the TEAS instead of 20. I ended with 161 points total. I was told that, depending on the applicant pool, that point score would probably be borderline accepted/waitlisted. So, we'll just have to wait and see. :nailbiting:

It does seem like such a long wait until March, but hopefully it will go by quickly. I wish they would tell us what they calculated our points at when we submit our applications. I'm so nervous that I added my points wrong somehow. I told her I thought I had 179 when I submitted, she said I should feel very confidant.

I applied last minute since an adviser had told me i have a chance of being a alternative and well i suppose it doesn't hurt to try. i have 152 points and I'm taking 169 this semester. it all depends on the applicant pool is how it was explained to me. I'm not sure what points were accepted for this spring semester, does anyone know by any chance? although i hear fall is always more competitive.

According to what I read on another thread, initial acceptance points for Fall 2016 were 162-210. Alternates started at 140. A lot of alternatives got in. But, every applicant pool is different. The points for Fall 2017 could be higher or lower. You never know. My points were on the low side, but I decided to apply anyway because you never know. . .

Exactly you never know, all we can do is wait. Thanks for the info.

Has anyone heard how many applicants they had for Fall 2017?

I haven't heard anything. I was hoping to at least get an email confirming my application. Has anyone gotten an email?
