Vanderbilt SICU

I am an experienced nurse going for an interview at Vanderbilt.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. The culture at the hospital and the unit. Current Tennessee pay for RN's in general.

Where are there safe places to find an apartment in Nashville.

Thanks in advance.

How did the interview go?

No one seems to know what Vandy pays. If they hire me, I'll let everyone know!

Sooooo...did you start at vandy? I just interviewed for this unit and felt it went horribly...plus, I was nervous and I have a massive sinus infection ....so it didn't feel at all warm and fuzzy....just wondered how your interview went and if you in fact took a position there?

Hi! Did you end up getting the job in SICU? I just received an offer and I'm thrilled to start.

No offer, I'm sure I won't get one either, it wasn't a good interview...I rubbed them the wrong way, it was clear to me then that I was wasting everyone's time. Good luck though, it'll be exciting to work there!!! You'll love ICU esp if you've never done it. An amazing learning experience!! Congrats! í ¾í´—

oh man! Well all my phalanges will be crossed for you. Thank you for your best wishes!

No problem!! Raise each other up.....

Are you working days or nights? I got an offer for SICU at Vandy as well the same day you did and I'll start on nights! Can't wait to meet everyone! :-)

So great to read this- CONGRATS! I can't recall if the offer mentioned anything about what shift, though I think it is safe to assume nights with my new-grad status. I'll be starting with the residency program; are you coming from a different hospital in Nashville?

Yes! Midwest is the best! I was checking out all of the websites our recruiter sent to us yesterday. I'm coming from northern Michigan probably in early February. Do you have any advice? Or fun little tidbits that would help a future coworker out? Feel free to email me ([email protected]) if that's okay!
