UTMB Spring 2017

Hello to all! I am applying to UTMB in Galveston for the Spring 2017 start. I have not seen any posts about this particular semester, so I thought I would reach out. Any body applying, gotten information, how was your TEAS test, pre-reqs, etc.?

I look forward to hearing from everyone!

Personally, this is my second degree as I have my first in Business Management & Entrepreneurial Studies. My mom is a nurse and has inspired me in so many ways, and I am excited to see where this journey leads me.

I made an 82.7% on my TEAS V and I am pretty nervous about this as I am not too sure how it compares or what the norm is. I hope everyone is having good luck in their application process and let me know how it is going for ya'll?

Thanks!

At at the open house they said that if you receive an interview request, then they have decided you are a good candidate. The interview is to weed out the people that don't really want to be there (those who apply for their parents) and those that maybe lied in their personal statement. Most people that interview get in is what they said at the open house.

Thank you Dani. That's good to know and makes sense, why would they waste their time interviewing people they already knew where not a good fit.

Hey y'all, I submitted my application May 31st and received an invite to interview this past Monday the 18th. My interview is next Friday. Anyone who's interviewed already have any advice?

For those who are accepted: Once you pay the $200 fee, you are good to go and the only thing left on your To Do List for now will be the prereqs you have left (if any). Also remember to do the CPR cert. and all immunizations before school starts!

Also question if anyone can help answer:

Can I still go to another school like UTHealth if I got into another school even if I already paid that $200 deposit for UTMB? Thanks

Yes you can. Call admissions and cancel your acceptance. I'm pretty sure you will lose your deposit. UT if you cancel you give others a chance to get in

I still haven't heard anything. I have 3 more apps in. I am currently FT student at Texas Tech and work as a Certified Nursing Assistant. I was hoping to know where I will be for sure in the Spring. I have my app in at Texas Tech, Angelo State and Sam Houston as well. I am nervous!!
