UTMB Spring 2010

I can only imagine how proud, excited, and relieved you are feeling. I envy how sound you will rest tonight! I can't wait until I can say..I am a nursing student!

Ms Sealy where else did you apply? My husband is like running thru the house saying you will finally be making some money.

I applied at PV also, I took the NET and passed the reading, but have to retake the math. If I don't get into UTMB, I'll study for the math, but I will wait until i'm done with my Pre requs in December before applying again. I didn't realize (until you said so the other day), that they take the ones who are finished with everything first. I should have waited to apply in January, but the hard part is done. The reading part of the NET was freaking horrible! I don't know how I passed it and not the math!

Ms Sealy I took the net and could not pass the reading but aced the math. I retook the net again right after it and aced the reading. I'm still not finished with my courses I am taking the computer class, so I am actually so excited that I got the letter as soon as I did. They told me ujust this weel everyone willbe getting there stuff by the end of the month. I wonder if I harrassed them so muc that they decided to just go ahead and shut me up.

Those folks at PV was like please please send this woman her letter so she can stop blowing up our phone! (A little harrassment never hurts!)

I heard such bad stuff about the reading on the NET..that I studied several techniques for it and understudied for math. When did you take the NET Jazzy? I took it on 9/19 the last day for spring 2010.

I took it back in the end of july and then at the beginning of Aug. and really the reading is about time.I didn't study for the reading either time. the first time I took it I was just reading so slow and then the computer shut off. I was more concerned about the math because its my worst subject. I remember after taking the net the current PV students was there asking me how I did and I told them I failed reading and they said that everbody normally takes it again but its because of the math. So they told me to just read faster an no worries

Yeah..I finished the reading and had time left over and I thought I was solid on the math..just need 7 points to pass if I have to take it again it won't be a problem.

Most people there were taking the reading part for the 2nd time, one lady was so afraid she didn't pass she refused to look at her score after they printed it. I looked for her and she didn't pass. Now she can't apply ever again. I felt so bad for her, she was crushed.

Ms Sealy, I hope we get interviews before Thanksgiving. I would really like to know the status of UTMB before the holidays.

Hey everyone! I had my interview on Friday for UTMB B2 program and ughhh...i am so anxious now! They said we would know in 2-3 weeks. At the end of my interview she said she was very impressed with me and hoped to see me again in the Spring. BUT...I have a 2 yr old son and she expressed concern with me having a child and getting through the program. I am married and have family that live close by so I tried to assure her I had a strong support system and that I did not want to be held back becuase I have a child...but we'll see.

Its really frustrating to me because yes I have a child, but my degree has been so hurt by the economy that I CANT find a job with what I have...so I NEED a more job-secure degree like Nursing!

I didnt tell her all that...but anywhoo, it went really well other than the kid factor.
