UTMB Spring 2010

oh my gosh, i love you guys! lol ya'll are getting work done at UTMB!! I'm so glad that we finally have a time frame for interviews....and it's CLOSE. I know that I have all the admission requirements so hopefully I'll get an interview so I'll be able to explain some things on my transcript. Hopefully I'll see some of you there...if I get an interview lol. I can't wait until we all meet!! Good luck guys :)

They must be at least reviewing or apps. I just got a call from someone at UTMB and she asked me if I about the last 3hrs or prerequisite work i still need. I told her that I am in that class right now and that it will end in December. She was like ok thats what I needed to know. So hopefully we will hear something soon!!

fyi, looked through some of the other threads from previous utmb applicants and got some interview questions that they asked.....guess it's a start in preparing!

1. why you want to be a nurse.

2. why do you want to attend utmb.

3. what are your future goals

4. how would you express your frustration (like problems with tasks, problems with how things are done)

5. how do you react when someone criticizes you

6. your best/worst quality

7. if you have ever worked around feces/urine (haha did this stump me)

8. how you manage your time

9. how you study..

10. if you have a support system

11. do you have a backup plan?

12. how do you handle conflict (like with a co-worker)?

13. are you willing to work with people who are culturally diverse?

14. where do you work?

15. how do you react when you recieve an unsatisfactory grade?

16. how do you handle stressful situations?

I don't know guys.I called UTMB SON today and i was told they are going to start reviewing application at the end of this week,so we should be receiving interview invites either next week or the following week.

OMG, I think I am going to scream. They keep prolonging and changing their mind. I called after reading the post above and talk to someone and they too told me that they weren't going to send out and start calling til the beginning of next week. Ok are they all on the same page or is everyone doing something different. I told them thats not enough time for people to make arrangements and she did not respond. Oh well, I will call again tomorrow to see if they tell me something different again. So now I go from stalking the mail to stalking my email and to stalking UTMB. LOL.

this whole process sucks

I agree....this whole process sucks. School will start in 3mo and they haven't even sent out interview letters....I guess it's safe to expect another month at least before official "confirmation" of acceptance or rejection as well. AGHHHHH!

Ok you guys, I have another blow. Once again I called like I said I would to harass them and found out that they have not even started looking at the BSN applications for spring. They said that they are still working on BACC2 and the review committee will meet again tomorrow to finish up on the BACC2. They won't even get started on BSN until next week sometime so she said don't be expecting to recieve an interview for at least two weeks. You'll I thought I was going to blow a gasket. Why are they trying to prolong me from getting my swag on. LOL

Jazzy what number are you calling? I am actually a BACC2 applicant so I wonder if they will start those interviews earlier? I dont know how thrilled my job is going to be when I have to peace out for an interview at the last minute.

i applied for the bacc2 program that must be why they called me the other day to make sure i was finishing up my prerequisites. i thought they would be evaluating the apps at the same time... is such a drawn out process!
