UTMB Fall 2018

Hey! I wanted to make this post because I didn't see a thread for those who are applying to UTMB Galveston Fall 2018. I know application hasn't open yet, but I just took my teas score. I have no idea if it is good enough for UTMB standards. I currently have 40 hours, but by the end of this semester I will have around 53 credit hours. I have no idea how I should even start my personal statement. Would you guys be willing to share your stats? Any questions or comments please feel free to post! :)

My stats are

TEAS:

82% Overall

-Reading: 85.1%

-Math: 87.5%

-Science: 78.7%

-English and Language Use: 75.0%

GPA: 3.9 Overall

@Cocainnmethlove Thank you!

Hey y'all! I am also applying for the fall 2018 semester. Currently working on my nursing CAS application. I am planning on taking my TEAS the 12th of Jan, I know its running close to the deadline of the application. I still need to take LifeSpan Growth&Devlp. along with U.S. History II and Texas History (I went to Arkansas to get my first bachelors). I have a 3.1 GPA, which isn't the best......

I haven't started the personal statement yet.... I am nervous about writing it, not going to lie.

Best of Luck to yall!!!!

Good luck to everyone!

I have a question, hopefully someone can help.

I have finished my Personal Statement, sent my school transcripts.. basically I've done everything. I am waiting to take my TEAS test Dec. 19, do I have to wait to take my test to submit the application? In one of the parts of the application, it want you to upload the test's summary. This has me a little confuse.

I went to the open house today and I'm super pumped!

I don't have much to report yet because I haven't taken the TEAS. I will take it on Dec 21 and update my scores for that.

Overall GPA: 4.0

Science: 4.0

hopefully after this semester that stays the same...

Does anyone know what Math courses count as the Statistics (Math, Psych, or Business) pre req? I took college elementary stats in high school, but got a C. I took business calculus 1 & 2 at Texas A&M and got an A in both, so if these count for that pre req, I'd be so relieved!!

What courses are included in the science GPA??

I believe you can use the calculus one to substitute it but I would call and make sure. I believe it's within the pre req gpa. All the classes that they require on the website are pre reqs and then they calculate a science gpa as well

Do yall know what should be included under experiences?

I'm not sure if its asking for work experiences, volunteer experiences?

there is so much I could put in there

I'm planning on taking the TEAS January 11th, is that too late or do we get our scores immediately after?

if its online, you should get your scores immediately after

I am taking it the 12th of January, I think we will be fine!

So I'm actually scheduled to take the TEAS my first time December 27th, but I also signed up January 11th to take it again just in case. Is that allowed or do we have to wait a certain amount of time before we retake it? Thanks!
