The GPA that Nursing CAS came up with does not match the GPA from my school. Does anybody know how that works?

They factor in EVERY grade. I graduated with a 3.47, but my overall GPA doesn't reflect that.

Do you know if that is the GPA UTMB will go by or do they look at the classes and also calculate themselves? I hope that makes sense.

I asked the same question. They calculate the overall GPA, science GPA, and prerequisite GPA. I think UTMB uses the better grade of any repeat classes for prerequisite and science GPAs.

Hi, I got email, but I am right now taking my remaining prerequisites. I will be finish in May 14. Do you have your all prerequisites complete? Are you applying for summer?

I am thinking about being considered for summer since I have all of my prereqs completed, but I'm not sure yet. I'll be graduating this May with my bachelors degree and I was really hoping for a little break before nursing school. I also need to save some money before I begin! It is a great opportunity though, and I feel like it would definitely increase my chances of getting in. Plus, who doesn't wanna graduate early?! I sure do.

I am new to this thread, but I have applied to UTMB for Fall 2015!!

About the email, I emailed and asked about it because I graduate with my bachelors on May 9th so I wanted to know if I could still be considered, and they said that you had to be ready to start on May 4th for the Summer entry.

Does anyone know when the first round of interview emails go out? I read last fall's thread and it seemed like it was about the first week of February. I'm getting really anxious... hopefully those emails go out soon.

I was in the first wave of interview invites and received it and had my interview on Feb 21st.

Hey everyone! I'm new to the thread and I am applying for Fall of 2015. I am going to have to take summer courses to complete my prerequsites before the start of school, if accepted (hopefully!). I was looking at the prerequisite list and just now realized that chemistry is only listed as 3-4 hours which is one class. I was planning on taking organic chemistry this summer (most other nursing schools require it), but does that mean UTMB only requires the basic chemistry class and not organic chemistry. Someone please help me! I'm so confused! Thanks :)
