UTA Fall 2016

Hello all! I'm starting a thread for Fall 2016 BSN on-campus and online programs. Please feel free to share where you are in your application process and/or any questions you might have.

Hi everyone! I was also accepted to the on campus BSN. :) I'll be taking patho and pharm this summer. Has anyone received their email regarding the background check?

Hi, I was accepted into the on-campus program also and I have not received an email yet either. I was told that we should get an email by Friday. I'm getting a bit anxious about it.

I received an email yesterday from UTA indicating my information was entered by the Texas BON and it included a FAST Fingerprint Pass form. This may be because I already went through this process once. I scheduled an appointment at Identogo to have my fingerprints done next week; however, I received a blue card from the Texas BON clearing me late last year, so I'm inquiring as to whether or not I need to do this again.

I'm super nervous now. I was told that all I had to do to accept my seat in the on-campus program was to click on the link in the acceptance email. I ask the admin if there was something that I needed to sign and return to confirm that I would be attending this Fall and I was told that I didn't have to sign and return anything and just to fill out the online form.

Did you do anything else outside of click on that link in the acceptance email?

Oh ok, yeah i'm a little nervous/concerned. I just want to make sure they received my acceptance response since I didn't get an email stating that it was accepted. I did do screenshots of them just in case. But hopefully we receive the email soon. I heard it can take a while. @Sure2BaRN did it take a while to complete the background check when you did it last year?

What I was told by the office was that you just had to complete the survey using the link in the email. But I didn't receive confirmation or anything.

No, I just clicked the link. Once UTA receives your confirmation information, they process it with the Texas BON. I simply think that my information was still in there from last semester.

I do recall it taking about 2-3 weeks before receiving the email last semester.

I contacted my advisor and she told me that confirmation emails will be sent out by 4/8. I wish we would have got at least a confirmation email that the form was received; that would have made me feel a whole lot better. I actually submitted it twice, just to be sure (yikes).

Ok that makes me feel better. :) I guess we will just have to continue to wait. @NurseBabyAJ I submitted mine twice as well not knowing that we wouldn't receive the confirmation email.

You are probably right.

I just don't want anything to go wrong. I have worked too hard to get here (I know you guys have too).

Hi Beth,

Am in Houston area, currently working with Houston methodist, please are u taking or have u taken patho and pharm?

Hi. FutureRN-Chiddy....I am taking Patho and Pharm at the same time. Sorry for the late response. I just logged in and saw your post. I finished Patho last night with an 86.34. I am taking my Pharm final today. Pharm is hard. In my opinion much harder than Patho. The Prof is terrible. She gives very little guidance. I hope you do well. Maybe we can meet at the orientation in August. :)
