UTA AP BSN program Fall 17

So I'm trying to see anyone is going to apply for UTA's AP BSN program the fall of 2017. I have been following threads and trying to get some information about how this program is set up. I did my application to the school last year for the Fall of this year. I'm trying to knock out my science classes, but I have withdrawal from my biology class 4 times and Im wanting to take my chemistry over the summer. Possibly doing my other 2 sciences with UTA. I haven't taken the Hesi A2, I plan to take that around the Fall. So, I just like us to update with each other and encourage each other to get into the program. I would do my stats, but I haven't taken gotten them yet. As soon as Im finished, I will post them. Everyone is free to post theirs

I just applied to both AO BSN and On-Campus. As in a few minutes ago, I hit the submit button. :)

I have a General 4.0 and have taken 3 of 4 sciences with a 4.0.

I made a 96 on my HESI, but I have zero considerations.

I hope I get in. Here is my plan to finish my prereqs:

Spring 2017: (UTA)

Microbiology

NURS 2300

NURS 3366

NURS 3309

Maymester/Summer 2017:

NURS 3365 (UTA)

SOCI 1311 (TCC) Intro to Socio

GOVT 2306 (TCC) Texas Govt

ENGL 2333 (TCC) World Lit

My classes for Spring are spread out fairly well, so mostly I'll be taking 2 classes at a time. Any advise?

I'm applying for Fall 2017. I will be taking the HESI here pretty soon and submitting everything before the deadline. My credentials are below if anyone can give any input it would be greatly appreciated! I'm worried about my overall GPA due to courses I slacked off in years ago when I first started college :/

Overall GPA: 3.0

Science GPA: 4.0

Partnered: Baylor Scott & White

I think you have high chances of getting in with your science GPA and also because you are partnered. Your Overall GPA could be a little higher but they will for sure consider you for your hospital experience. Thats what I think.

My science GPA and overall is 3.0. I am partnered with Baylor and have one consideration because I took 12 hours of science at UTA. When I talked to my advisor at the University she told me because I'm partnered she doesn't see any reason I would not get accepted. She told me if u become un partnered then I might want to get my science GPA up. So I don't see you having any problem if that's what I was told as recently as last week.

Hey y'all I'm reading/hearing different answers on this.

For the HESI exam, are we allowed to use the computer calculator for the math portion ? Also, can you take a break in between sections and leave the testing room to catch some fresh air/ or R.R break?

I took the HESI on Dec 16 and I did the Math section by hand. I scored an overall 93% and a 94 on the Math section. The math took me 1.5hrs and I was worried about the time, but for the other sections they each took me only 15-30 min each on average so I was done in 3hrs. You are not allowed to leave the room.

Good job you did a great job!

Thanks for replying. I'm just worried about the time on the Math section without a Calculator. Some are saying they did use one on the computer and some not. I would like to mentally prepare lol I'm taking it at UTA very soon.

Yea it said that calculators weren't allowed. I suggest doing the math first and getting it out of the way since it's the most time consuming. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure I was able to use the calculator on the computer. The math portion to me wasn't too bad and I finished with adequate time, but I enjoy Math :)

Oh wow thank you for that FutureNurseV_ I'm trying to call the testing center to find out but it goes to voicemail. I'm deff. going to take your word for it.

I took the HESI last month, and yes I was able to use the calculator provided. It was tricky though because you have to click on each number and the multiplication and equal sign. I didn't know that and used the 10-key on the keyboard and submitted a wrong answer! I still got a 97 in the math section, but it made me angry!

I was also able to leave the room 3 different times to potty (too much caffeine). I just had to sign in and out each time. This was at UTA.
