i'm curious as to what is the difference when people's id's are the rn somewhere in there, like: rn2b, or rnwannebe, or id's like that?

not sure what you mean...but mine is simply meant to be clear that i am not an rn (yet) as i don't want anyone thinking that i am. i am a nursing student. other than that, i simply lack the creativity to come up with a good name but i will consider alternatives if you have a suggestions!

i was asking a question since one of the posters said something about not being able to use rn on our id if we're not rn's, which i know that is part of the tos, but i was just wondering the difference between the ones that say rn2be, or id's that has the rn in them? know what i mean? i'm not trying to be pushy or anything, i'm just curious as to where is the differece, or i guess like you said that once it's clear that an id gives the message that they're not rn's is okay?sorry, i think i confused myself in the last part.lol.

according to the website:

"members cannot call themselves by professional titles, if they do not hold that title. ie. members cannot call themselves "doctor, dr., rn, lpn, lvn, nurse,cna, rt, ma" etc, unless they are actually licensed and/or certified as such a thing."

i am not sure if this applies to rntobe etc. you can email suggestions to the admin help desk

I'm sorry you failed, but I'm sure you weren't the first and you definitely won't be the last! Try the NCLEX-RN Review 4000 DVD by Lippincott and just keep working on those questions... According to my peers, the NCLEX was a piece of cake after they utilized this DVD lol. You can also browse the NCLEX section on the site for more tips like one of the previous posters stated. Good luck!

P.S. Pretty sure it's against TOS for you to imply you are an RN in your user name if you're not licensed yet.

I gave her adequate information regarding the NCLEX-RN in my first paragraph to be supportive. And, my P.S. was referring to her previous user name, she has since changed it after I made her aware. I was giving her a "heads up" before the staff on this site would tell her she has to change it or someone reports her. I actually posted the link to the thread relating to user names on one of my previous posts, you can refer to it if you have further questions/concerns as this is taking this thread off topic.

To OP, the Porth Patho book is really good as a poster mentioned above... The Pharmacology Textbook by Lehne is really helpful as well if you feel that is one of your weak points. Best of luck!

These thread is not owned by none of us but is an informative site to help each others . We're not here to blame each other. She has the right to any users name. Anyway the users name is not that bad.......... let the administrator fix it themselves.:confused:

i have moved these posts as they are off topic to the the thread in question.

site terms of service as pointed out doesn't allow you to use rn, pn, nurse etc unless you are licensed in that profession. what you have to remember is this site has nurses from all over the world and the member may be a nurse in another country. however if that is not clear the member is approached by staff and if required name is changed.

using professional titles:

members cannot call themselves by professional titles, if they do not hold that title. ie. members cannot call themselves "doctor, dr., rn, lpn, lvn, nurse,cna, rt, ma" etc, unless they are actually licensed and/or certified as such a thing. if you have chosen a user id name that reflects an unearned professional title, please contact administration, admin help desk, and submit three (3) names for consideration. an administrator will get back with you regarding your name.
