I have 13 years of ED and ICU experience. Please tell me about moving to the UK - obtaining licensure, permission to work/reside, pay rates, cost of housing, etc. I work in the Phladelphia PA area and will certainly return the favor of supplying information about this area.

Hello
At the moment the biggest problem would be immigration as rules recently changed means employers can't employ elsewhere in the world unless they can prove that nurses from the UK and EU was not suitable. Also there are a lot of hospitals laying nurses off as well as other staff due to huge financial problems. Students qualifying at the moment are not even finding jobs. There are no reasons to why you can't start the process and include some links to help you. NMB (oops should say NMC)has recently changed their policy so will start with that link

Hope this helps. If I find anymore links will post
Good luck

Also if you have done the two year nursing course you wont be eligible to work in the UK. You have to have done a 3 year nursing course.
