UofT 2013

Is anyone else applying to the compressed nursing program at University of Toronto this year for entrance in September 2013? I want to start a thread so we can see when people get accepted and what their grades are like. Good luck to everyone!

I got accepted :)! Kind of surprised it came this early, my GPA is not as stellar as everyone else here (one course really messed it up). I've been volunteering for the past two years or so in different settings and had great references and essays, so maybe that did it!

Question: the two weeks I have to accept the offer includes the 500$ mark for the deposit to OUAC, does it not? Or can I accept and then revoke it later... I'm still waiting on other schools (like Western )

Yes, you have to submit the $500 non-refundable deposit by the offer deadline (which you accept via the OUAC site). However, you submit your certified cheque or money order directly to the University of Toronto (Student Accounts, I believe). I just sent mine in the mail this morning (xpresspost, just in case!).

I assume you could revoke your acceptance on OUAC later on, but given the tight deadlines to submit your deposit by the same date, you'd likely be out the $500.

Hey Pink Tulip, would you mind sharing your GPA that they prob used for uoft?

Well if I knew how they calculated it.. I can't seem to find if they do last 5-full credits or 10-full. Regardless, my GPA for both sits around 3.65~3.7.

Thanks for telling me! Still awaiting an acceptance ?ah

I just got into UofT's program! Definitely accepting it :) ...

My stats: 3.8 in the last 5 credits, 3.8cGPA. In my final year of a 4yr undergrad BSc degree at UofT-Missisauga. Worked at my uni for 3 years, 3 yrs of being a research assistant, volunteered for the past year at a health centre, and did lots of other volunteering here and there.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Congratulations to all that have been accepted. Good luck for those of us still waiting! :)

Has anyone who has been accepted noticed if their application still says "application received - to be reviewed?" I sent my application in two days after the due date and I'm feeling disheartened that it hasn't been reviewed :( do they all still say this?

Mine has said that since the beginning, and I submitted at least two weeks ahead of the deadline.

It apparently stays like that the entire time... Mine still says it. If you email them they'll prob tell you why but it's prob just slow system updating

Hey Skarlet,

I got my acceptance e-mail today and shortly after I checked my join u of t account, it still says: to be reviewed. My acceptance is conditional upon getting a least 60% in my class.

I was accepted in March and my application status still said to be reviewed for a few days after I received my offer. I think the system is just slower because my application status now says that I am admitted. For those of you who have been admitted, you can check the first in nursing website for the status of your offer and conditions!

Good luck to everyone who is waiting and looking forward to meeting everyone!

Oh crap! Lol I meant to write "two days after the application opened" I sent it very early! Thanks for the responses! Fingers crossed!!
