  1. After calling my school today, I found out I was accepted at 4:00 pm today!! I have joined the Facebook group (I hope!!)
  2. Thanks HopefulN! I am going to call today :)
  3. Does anyone else have their Winter 2013 marks missing? I contacted OUAC since I have been able to view all of my marks for over a month now, and OUAC says it is my school that is slacking off and not sending out the marks.... anyone else? If I don't get an acceptance over something like this, I will be really upset!
  4. Congrats everyone! My final grades of fourth year are rolling in slowly. 91,90, and 88. Two more to go and hopefully U of T will receive my transcript and maybe I can join you all :)
  5. I think I've made a terrible mistake. I just found the ROSI GPA calculator, and my GPA for the pre-reqs is 4.0. My avg overall is in fact 3.6 and not whatever I may have said it was because I used a different calculator. OMG! I lied on my application and in one instance it hurt me (my pre reqs are higher than I said) and in one instance, it made me look like a liar.... what to do
  6. Oh crap! Lol I meant to write "two days after the application opened" I sent it very early! Thanks for the responses! Fingers crossed!!
  7. Has anyone who has been accepted noticed if their application still says "application received - to be reviewed?" I sent my application in two days after the due date and I'm feeling disheartened that it hasn't been reviewed do they all still say this?
  8. Congratulations to all that have been accepted. Good luck for those of us still waiting! :)
  9. This makes sense to me. I am in the process of completing half of my humanities requirement.
  10. Wow, you guys are lucky! They emailed me on March 15th to say that they needed an updated transcript (something went wrong at OUAC and they received my marks up to, but not including, Sept 2012). I sent for it and they received it March 18th. One of my humanities was on there (Music in Popular Culture) and I am finishing up my other humanities course now... maybe they are waiting to see how I do. I had an 86 in anatomy/physiology, a 90 in music & pop culture, a 91 in my psych and 85 in women's studies, a 91 and 85 in biology.... I was chosen to be a research student for the two top psych profs at my school, and I regularly volunteer with the Cancer Society. Who knows. Bah. I hope I get in!!!!
  11. Hello everyone! I have only applied to U of T. My average is like 3.9 I think (using the med school table?) and I am in my fourth year of a BA Hon. Psych. We shall see! The wait is killing me! Also, I was a research student and volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society... I am sad to see they have already sent out a batch
  12. Hey everyone! I am a fourth year psych student at Laurentian and I applied to U of T only. I didn't have microbiology or philosophy under my belt so York was out of the question and I didn't take any high school chemistry so Humber was out of the question. I have a 3.9 GPA so I am anxiously awaiting news.... They said March, now they're saying April its killing me!
  13. Well for simplicity, when I became pregnant with my daughter my fiance and I moved back to our hometown to be closer to our parents. I now go to a college that acts as a satellite campus for my university, which is 4 hours away. I get my psych credits there and I do really well, in fact I got a 95 in biology (in class). Being my last pre req for ANOTHER university (where I will go for nursing), I had to bite the bullet and do it online through my school (or move to my school's home base for a year which seemed silly). I thought it would be a good idea because I wouldn't have a "full course load" of 5 courses like I will come September. I am taking personality and psychometrics in person at my school this semester. Anyways, I have found some student-made flashcards on studyblue as well as some student made notes and they help greatly. My prof does not provide us with the powerpoints he shows in class. All we received was a giant stack of paper (course manual which seems useless besides the pages to read section). The course manual seems very vague and lists the main concepts, but a lot of my text seems to focus on smaller details so I dont know what to get caught up in and what not to, KWIM? Thanks for the replies!! ETA: no labs but I do watch videos and draw pictures a lot :\ nothing like my biology labs though
  14. Hey everyone My name is Kaylee and I am taking A+P online in one semester. Yeah I know, I'm crazy but the thing is I don't have any other choice. My school doesn't offer it in person and so it is the only choice I have. Next week, I have to read 20 pages per day and make notes (7 days) The next week, I have to read 40 pages per day and make notes (7 days) How did you guys do it? My cousin laughed and said she never made notes... my instructor is very adamant that we will fail if we don't. I am so stuck. I have 2 other classes and two small babies I need to care for. How can I do this? How did you do it? I am literally in tears, crying as it is my last pre-req I have and it is absolutely horrible. I don't have an issue with the material, its the amount of work due per week. Plus my course has been translated from French into English and doesn't really make sense sometimes. Thanks Kaylee :redbeathe
