Hello,
I am currently an ICU RN and am wondering about how I go about reporting an unsafe work environment. I do relief charge on my unit and can have up to 3 patients!! Management is of no help; when I tried to fight back tonight to keep the unit safe I was literally yelled at by my manager. So who do I report this all to?

There are various reporting options on your parent company website. I would use them. If you have a union, obtain from them unsafe staffing reports, and file them. Do incident reports each time.
Finally, if you do not have malpractice insurance, get it. Like today. If you do, call them for guidance.
Best wishes!
Haha! Yes I am already looking for another job. Even have applied to one. This was before this incident last night and just wondering who I can report it to.

I definitely should fill out an incident report; however who can I report not only being berated to by my sup, but also the unsafeness of the unit. Unfortunately we do not have a union, that I can find anyways. Any idea on what I can look up on the company website. I spent a good while last night doing that and only found policies, etc. This is not the first time this has happened, actually happens almost daily. I have filed a complaint with HR about how I was treated (yelled at infront of co-workers, berated, etc) with how my supervisor handled it. I am currently looking for something else but want to see something done about the unit.
