2017 UNC New Grad Program

I still hadn't heard anything about 2 weeks ago so I called HR and asked to check the status of my application. They put me through to the Nurse Recruiter and we talked about my application and she set me up with two interviews! She appreciated me calling and advocating for myself. I would suggest trying that! They were super nice and helpful!

KUNewgrad, I have contacted HR twice. Once in February and earlier today and the human resource lady just blows me off.

What units did you mark you were interested in, sirengoddess? I've heard some units are more on the ball with hiring than others.

Keep advocating for yourself! Tell them you would like to speak with a nurse recruiter to discuss the status of your application. Don't give up! Once I got through, they were all very helpful and kind!

Hi All!

UNC is my #1 choice but I'm out of state. Do they prefer local candidates? I see they are staggering it so that they have new grads starting all the way through October. I got an email that all of my documents were submitted and I'm under consideration. I wonder how many new grads they're hiring this year?

Did you fly in to interview or did they allow a skype interview?

I also applied in February and am still "under consideration". What is HR's number?

anyone know if UNC is still interviewing? my friend got rejected yesterday but I haven't heard anything and also can't get into my account so....

I think they're still hiring. I've heard people being told they are reviewing more applications in May. I withdrew my application after I accepted a position at Duke so I haven't been paying too much attention to it.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get your license number after you take the NCLEX?

I see it's been a while since you accepted your new grad position, may I ask how it's going? Relocating for a new position can be scary - I'm considering it as well. Thanks in advance for any insight on the whole process - good and bad would be so appreciated.
